The four-year public institution in Cortland enrolled 6,858 students in fall 2018, including 6,343 in undergraduate and 515 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

95 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 4 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).
