Assemblyman Phil Palmesano, representing Corning, welcomed a group of 5th-grade students from St. Michael School in Penn Yan to the New York State Capitol. During their visit, the students toured the Assembly Chamber and engaged in a session where they asked questions about state government operations.

Palmesano expressed his appreciation for meeting with the students, stating, “I always enjoy the opportunity to meet with students from back home and to showcase our historic state Capitol. They were full of interest and energy, asked some great questions and I have no doubt they all have a very bright future ahead of them. Thank you to Mr. Prather and his 5th grade class for an enjoyable visit and discussion.”

The event provided an educational experience for the young visitors as they learned more about the workings of state governance.
