Of the 926 people living in Marathon in 2019, 49.5 percent (458) were women and 50.5 percent (468) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SC New York News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 282-to-263. In the 65 and over age range, there were 96 females and 95 males.
