Chenango Forks Central School District issued the following announcement on Dec 7.

Hi all,

As noted previously, due to a staffing shortage in relation to COVID-19, CFE will have to go FULL REMOTE until our return on January 4.

This is a temporary move to full remote and as such, learning will be as follows:

  • Hybrid students will remain in the Hybrid A and B groupings.
    • On Mondays and Thursdays: Hybrid A students will be expected to be learning synchronously via Zoom for the entire school day, following a schedule determined by their classroom teacher. Specials will be held via Zoom as well at the same time they are during the school day. Hybrid B students will follow the same schedule they typically follow on Mondays and Thursdays.
    • On Tuesdays and Fridays: Hybrid B students will be expected to be learning synchronously via Zoom for the entire school day, following a schedule determined by their classroom teacher. Specials will be held via Zoom as well at the same time they are during the school day. Hybrid A students will follow the same schedule the typically follow on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • The schedule for classes that are already full remote will not be affected.
  • Wednesdays will remain unchanged.

Student Item Pick Up: Tuesdays, December 8, 15, and 22 from 4-6 p.m. HYBRID STUDENTS / Wednesday, December 9, 16, and 23 from 11-1pm FULL REMOTE STUDENTS (BUS LOOP)

  • We will hold a Student Item Pick Up time for families to pick up any necessary learning items or anything that may have been left in the classroom that will be needed during our Full Remote Time.

Meal Pick-Up Information:

  • Families in need of food need to call 607-648-7524 and provide all elementary student names and the pickups at the times noted:
    • Tuesdays, December 8, 15, and 22 from 4-6pm HYBRID STUDENTS / Wednesday, December 9, 16, and 23 from 11-1 p.m. FULL REMOTE STUDENTS (LOWER LEVEL)
    • Wednesday, December 30 HYBRID OR REMOTE STUDENTS 11-1 p.m.

Thank you for your patience as we transition to the Remote learning model and then back to in person.

Sincerely,

Catherine Kacyvenski
