Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced that Chautauqua County will receive a grant of $143,172 from the Department of Transportation for Dunkirk Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded this grant as part of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP), which focuses on the design and rehabilitation of Taxiway A West at the airport.

Congressman Langworthy, who serves as the chairman of the House Aviation Safety Caucus, expressed his satisfaction with this investment. He stated, “As the chairman of the House Aviation Safety Caucus, I am pleased that the FAA is investing in small local airports such as the Dunkirk Airport. This funding will be used to ensure that the runways at Dunkirk Airport are of the highest standard – because when it comes to aviation safety, we must ensure the absolute best.”
