The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $500,000 to the Village of South Dayton for improvements to its drinking water system. The funding comes through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (STAG) and was secured following a Community Project Funding request for Fiscal Year 2024 by Congressman Nick Langworthy.
Congressman Langworthy advocated for the allocation in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (H. Res. 4366), which became law in March. The grant aims to provide families in South Dayton with access to safe and reliable drinking water while updating infrastructure to address future needs.
“I’m proud to deliver $500,000 to upgrade South Dayton’s water system,” said Congressman Langworthy. “This significant investment in South Dayton’s infrastructure will help modernize their stormwater collection system to protect public health. This project was one of my top priorities and since securing the funding last year, I have been pushing to get it across the finish line. I’m thrilled that it’s now a reality for the residents of South Dayton.”
