Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has allocated funds to two airports in New York. The Wellsville Airport will receive $76,762 for designing a new hangar, while the Olean Airport will get $33,250 for a new gate.

The FAA’s grant to the Town of Wellsville aims to reconstruct an existing 15,000-square-foot hangar used for aircraft storage. Meanwhile, the City of Olean will use its funds to reconstruct two existing gates.

Congressman Langworthy emphasized the importance of these investments: “Investing in our local airports is essential to strengthening our regional infrastructure and economy,” he stated. “I’m proud to support these FAA grants, which will help Wellsville and Olean airports make needed upgrades that improve safety, access, and future growth opportunities for our communities.”
