The Guthrie Clinic has announced a new phase in its partnership with Gastroenterology Associates of Ithaca, PC (GAI). As of July 1, the team at GAI is now part of Guthrie’s network of healthcare providers. This move follows an affiliation formed on March 1, aimed at enhancing gastroenterology care.

Patients will continue to see their familiar providers under the Guthrie brand. The former GAI office in Ithaca remains open for appointments, while endoscopic procedures will be conducted at Guthrie’s GI suite at Ithaca City Harbor or at Cortland Medical Center.

Brent Lemberg, MD, previously with GAI, expressed enthusiasm about joining Guthrie: “I couldn’t be more excited for our team and our patients to become part of the Guthrie family…Guthrie’s staff and facilities are exceptional.”

Patients can access Epic’s electronic medical record system through eGuthrie for managing healthcare needs online. Joseph Ronsivalle, DO, EVP and President of Guthrie Medical Group, commented on the partnership: “This partnership is a win for everyone, especially our patients.”

Guthrie will continue accepting all insurance forms previously accepted by GAI.
