The Guthrie Clinic has received 27 national awards and ratings for clinical excellence from Healthgrades for 2026. These recognitions highlight the clinic’s performance in both outpatient and inpatient specialty care.

Healthgrades, a well-known resource that helps Americans find doctors and hospitals, evaluates over 4,500 hospitals each year. The evaluation is based on risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 common conditions and procedures. This analysis aims to provide patients with objective information about hospital performance.

According to Healthgrades’ latest study, significant differences remain between the highest- and lowest-performing hospitals in the country. Their analysis found that if all hospitals matched the outcomes of five-star facilities during the 2022-2024 period, it could have resulted in an estimated 230,466 lives saved and 156,797 complications avoided among Medicare patients.

Alana Biggers, M.D., M.P.H., medical advisor at Healthgrades, said: “Healthgrades’ specialty awards identify the nation’s top-performing hospitals in key service areas, helping consumers find high-quality care tailored to their specific needs. We’re proud to recognize Guthrie for its consistently superior outcomes across multiple specialty areas.”

Patients can learn more about how top-performing hospitals are identified by visiting Healthgrades’ Specialty Excellence Patient Advocate Center. The full methodology behind the awards is available through Healthgrades’ published resources.
