The Guthrie Clinic has received the Summa Cum Laude Honor Roll distinction from Epic, a major provider of health information technology, according to a March 18 announcement. This marks the fifth time Guthrie has earned the highest recognition on Epic’s Honor Roll award.

The recognition highlights Guthrie’s ongoing efforts to implement and optimize electronic medical records systems for improved patient care. The clinic has now appeared on the Honor Roll eight times overall, tying it with six other healthcare systems for the most appearances on the list.

Epic’s Honor Roll program evaluates healthcare organizations based on eight components: Ease of Use for Providers, Enterprise Data and Analytics, Financial, Health Information Exchange, Infrastructure, Patient Experience, Population Health, and Staying Current. Successful implementation in these areas allows organizations like Guthrie to maximize the benefits of Epic’s software for both providers and patients.

“Achieving Epic Honor Roll Summa Cum Laude reflects Guthrie’s commitment to quality, safety and experience. When we equip our providers with reliable, efficient and safe digital tools, it creates measurable benefits for our patients,” said Brad Carvellas, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Officer.

“Our caregivers have put a tremendous amount of effort into optimizing these systems. This recognition underscores how collaboration across clinical, operational and technology teams translate directly into quality care and experience,” he added.

As digital health technologies continue to play an important role in healthcare delivery, recognitions such as this reflect broader trends toward improving patient outcomes through advanced information systems.
