The Guthrie Cortland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has received a Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as an Overall Rating of Four Stars. The ratings are part of the CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System, which is designed to help consumers, families, and caregivers compare nursing homes using the Nursing Home Care Compare website. Facilities are rated based on quality of care, staffing levels, and health inspections.

With these ratings, Guthrie Cortland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is now recognized as the highest performing nursing and rehabilitation facility in its region.

“We take immense pride in the high level of care we provide to your loved ones and in our ongoing efforts to improve across every measure,” said Timothy Reedy, Senior Director of Long-Term Care at Guthrie Cortland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. “This recognition from CMS is not only a validation of our caregivers’ compassion and dedication but also a meaningful assurance to families that their loved ones are in the best possible hands. At Guthrie, we consider every resident a part of our extended family, and this achievement reflects that commitment.”

The center provides both long-term and short-term care options along with an adult day health care program that allows participants to return home each day. It is located at 134 Homer Avenue in Cortland on the campus of Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, which includes a hospital and Emergency Department.
