The American Heart Association has recognized two Guthrie hospitals, Robert Packer Hospital and Cortland Medical Center, for their commitment to high-quality stroke and diabetes patient care.

Robert Packer Hospital received the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus with Target: Stroke Honor Roll with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award based on data from 2023-2024. It also earned the Get With The Guidelines-Rural Stroke Gold Award for the same period. These awards highlight the hospital’s dedication to providing optimal treatment for stroke patients according to nationally recognized guidelines, which leads to improved patient outcomes.

Cortland Medical Center was awarded the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Silver Plus with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award based on its 2024 data.
