Congressman Nick Langworthy has announced the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for New York’s 23rd District. Camryn Battaglia, a student from Clymer High School, won with her artwork titled “Concord.” This piece will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the rest of the year.
“Congratulations to Camryn Battaglia, our winner of this year’s Congressional Art Competition for her piece, ‘Concord,’” said Congressman Nick Langworthy. “I thought her artwork truly represents NY-23 since we are home to the largest Concord grape belt in the U.S., and I’m pleased that it is representing our district in the Capitol.”
Langworthy noted that his office received numerous entries showcasing the talent of high school students in Western New York and the Southern Tier. He extended thanks to all participants and acknowledged St. Bonaventure University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts faculty for judging.
The competition’s runner-up was Wendy Coleman from Watkins Glen High School with her work “Stronger with You.” Other finalists included Rayne Bruyer, Emma Lewis, Emelia Prey, Jack Hayden, Abigayl White, and Naja Radoja from various schools across the district.
The competition is open to all high school students and is sponsored by the Congressional Institute. Since its inception in 1982, over 650,000 students have participated.
