UHS has announced that Lee Trevino, a six-time Major Champion and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, will headline the UHS Health Expo at the DICK’S Open on July 9. The event will take place at En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott.
Following the Pro-Am tournament, Trevino will participate in a live interview and Q&A session with SiriusXM host Dave Marr on the 18th green around 6:30 p.m. Before this session, attendees can visit a free health expo from UHS starting at 4 p.m., featuring health screenings and wellness demonstrations.
John M. Carrigg, president and CEO of UHS, expressed enthusiasm about Trevino’s participation: “We are honored to have Lee Trevino, one of the world’s greatest golfers, as the honorary host of our 2025 Expo.”
At age 85, Trevino remains active in golf. In December 2024, he conducted a clinic at Punta Mita Golf Club in Mexico. Known for his unique journey in professional golf, Trevino taught himself to play using makeshift clubs and public courses. His career includes six major championships with notable victories such as two U.S. Opens (1968, 1971) and two PGA Championships (1974, 1984).
Trevino joined the PGA Tour Champions in 1990 and achieved significant success there as well. He is one of only four players to win both the U.S. Open and The Open Championship twice.
The DICK’S Open will be held from July 7 to July 12 at En-Joie Golf Course with a $2.2 million purse. All rounds will be broadcast on GOLF Channel.
The UHS Health Expo is open to the public with advance registration recommended by calling or visiting their website. Activities include sports medicine demonstrations and health screenings.
Additionally, a Family Fun Night featuring a movie screening and fireworks is scheduled for July 12 as part of the event lineup.
