Congressman Nick Langworthy, who represents New York’s 23rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on social media between May 8 and May 9, 2026, addressing topics ranging from government oversight to community recognition and animal welfare.
On May 8, Langworthy highlighted efforts to address inefficiency in federal agencies by referencing both his work and that of former Congressman Lee Zeldin. He wrote, “Just like we are doing in the @HouseCommerce Committee, fellow New Yorker and former Congressman @epaleezeldin is rooting out fraud, waste, and abuse within the walls of the bloated bureaucracy he inherited from the @JoeBiden administration.”
Later that day, Langworthy congratulated a local youth for an achievement in scouting. He stated on May 8: “Congratulations to Charles Cinque of Troop 267 in Fredonia on earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Our team honored Charles with a Congressional Recognition certificate. This achievement that reflects leadership and service to our community.”
On May 9, Langworthy addressed animal welfare concerns related to laboratory testing on dogs. He posted: “Keep an eye out on our social media platforms later for some big news on Beagle rescues from Ridgland Farms. In the meantime, I’m fighting the good fight in Washington to stop federal funding for inhumane and despicable testing on dogs. Stay tuned….”
Nick Langworthy has served as U.S. Representative for New York’s 23rd District since replacing Joe Sempolinski in 2023. Born in Jamestown, New York in 1981 and currently residing in Pendleton, Langworthy graduated from Niagara University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003.
