Congressman Nick Langworthy, who represents New York’s 23rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to address regulatory issues and public safety concerns.
On April 16, 2026, Langworthy stated, “My mission is to cut bureaucratic red tape that’s crippling families and businesses. NYS should not be punished for the smoke from Canadian wildfires that are clearly out of our control. It’s unfair and costing us money. That’s why I was proud to vote for the FENCES Act that https://t.co/UtVQjqfWES”.
The following day, on April 17, he commented on a criminal case involving an immigrant: “This illegal immigrant is accused of starting this fatal blaze. Cops said he lit a fire, drank a beer, and watched people jump out windows to escape the inferno. Instead of getting this violent monster out of our country, this is who Democrats want to protect. INSANITY.”
Later that same day, Langworthy addressed business regulations: “Businesses are drowning in duplicative red tape that slows growth and costs jobs. I’m proud that we passed the RED Tape Act. It cuts waste, streamlines decisions, and gets America building again, without weakening a single environmental protection. https://t.co/t9XyaVIEUb”
