Of the 2,330 people living in Canisteo in 2020, 49.4 percent (1,151) were women and 50.6 percent (1,179) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SC New York News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 51. In the 65 and over age range, there were 350 females and 235 males.
