VA Scholarships Offered for Summer Cohesion Participants in Chemung County

Chemung County Department of Veterans Affairs - Chemung County Dwyer Program, in collaboration with the Chemung County Youth Bureau, has revealed an initiative to provide scholarships for the offspring of eligible Chemung County Veterans to partake in Summer Cohesion without any fees this year.

The department expressed their excitement, stating, "We are pleased to announce scholarships for the children of eligible Chemung County Veterans to attend Summer Cohesion free of charge this year."

To avail this opportunity, veterans are required to visit the Chemung County Department of Veterans Affairs and furnish evidence of their service and residency. Upon successful verification, veterans will be furnished with an award letter that contains a registration link and a scholarship code.

The Chemung County Department of Veterans Affairs, located at the Human Resources Building, 425 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, Room #303, is open on weekdays from 8:30 AM to Noon and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. In case of any queries, individuals are encouraged to reach out to the Department of Veterans Affairs at (607) 737-5445, as mentioned by the Chemung County Department of Veterans Affairs.

Chemung County Executive, Christopher J. Moss, endorsed this initiative aimed at supporting the children of eligible veterans in the community.
