Congressman Nick Langworthy has expressed support for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) decision to roll back restrictive dog import rules.

"The CDC rolling back the overbearing dog import rules is great news for Western New York — and I was proud to lead bipartisan efforts to make this happen," stated Congressman Langworthy. "This change will alleviate undue burdens on families and businesses in our bi-national community who rely on travel between the U.S. and Canada. Moving forward, we need a balanced approach that maintains public health with common-sense policies, not ill-conceived mandates from unelected bureaucrats."

Langworthy's statement follows his bipartisan letter requesting a delay in implementing these regulations.
