UHS Heart & Vascular Institute has announced the resumption of their local Mended Hearts chapter meetings. These gatherings are scheduled to occur twice a month, with the upcoming session set for Tuesday, July 8 from 5:15 to 6:15 pm.

Attendees can look forward to an evening featuring music and relaxation led by Christina Kontogiannis, MT-BC, NICU MT. The session will explore the benefits of music therapy and provide tips on using therapeutic music listening to alleviate agitation, reduce heart rate and blood pressure, and enhance overall life quality.

Mended Hearts is a support group designed to offer hope and educate patients about cardiovascular health while empowering them to maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle.

The meeting location is UHS Heart & Vascular Institute at 30 Harrison St., Johnson City, accessible via Hudson Street. Participants should take the elevator to the second floor, enter the office, and proceed left to reach the waiting room.

The event aims to make a positive impact on heart disease patients and their families. It is free of charge and open to everyone without requiring registration.
