Healthcare in the United States has seen significant changes over the past 50 years, with nursing evolving to play a crucial role in patient care. The profession is now considered “the lifeblood of healthcare organizations,” reflecting its importance in enhancing patient experiences.
Nurses are recognized for their advanced training and skills, which have made them integral members of healthcare teams.
