UHS has opened the application window for its 2026 Nursing Summer Externship Program. The program, which lasts ten weeks, provides nursing students with practical experience alongside experienced nurses. Participants will have the opportunity to increase their patient contact hours and gain skills relevant to their future careers.

The externship includes direct clinical training, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team focused on patient care, and the chance to earn college credit through a summer externship course. In addition, participants will receive compensation through a competitive hourly wage.

UHS encourages interested candidates to learn more about the program and submit applications during the open window period.
