Congressman Nick Langworthy has announced a grant of $128,436 awarded to the Town of Wellsville by the Department of Transportation. The funding is designated for the Wellsville Municipal Airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has allocated this grant specifically for conducting a new airport-wide obstruction survey at Wellsville Municipal. This survey aims to identify any objects that could impact national airspace, air navigation facilities, or airport capacity.

“As the chairman of the House Aviation Safety Caucus, I am pleased that the FAA is investing in small local airports such as Wellsville Municipal,” said Congressman Langworthy. “This funding will be used to ensure that the airspace and facilities at Wellsville Municipal are of the highest standard – because when it comes to aviation safety, everyone’s lives are on the line.”
