Graduates earn 349 degrees, certificates from Elmira College

About 22.9 percent of the 349 degrees and certificates handed out by Elmira College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Elmira conferred 78 bachelor's degrees and 2 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 68 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 43 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 32 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The college enrolled 892 students for 2017-18, including 819 in undergraduate programs and 73 in graduate programs.
