Windsor Central School District issued the following announcement on Dec 16.
Dear Windsor School Community,
On Wednesday, December 16, 2020, we were notified by the Broome County Health Department (BCHD) that the district has a confirmed case of COVID-19 involving a staff member at C.R. Weeks Elementary School. Information regarding this individual’s identity cannot be released. We ask that you please respect the staff member’s privacy. This person will be placed in isolation for the mandated number of days.
If there was a person in direct or proximate contact inside of the school or off the school campus, they will be placed in quarantine. The district is assisting the Broome County Health Department with a contact-tracing investigation.
We will continue to monitor this situation and will notify staff and families immediately of any interruptions to the school schedule. We appreciate your patience and cooperation, as we know this is a serious matter of great concern to many of you. Please contact my office if you have any questions at 607-655-8216 or via email at jandrews@windsor-csd.org.
Sincerely,
Jason A. Andrews, Ed.D.
