Broome County Traffic Safety - It's Child Passenger Safety Week!

It's Child Passenger Safety Week!!  Is your child's harness right?  Here's what you need to look for:

Rear-Facing Car Seat - Harness should be AT or BELOW the shoulders

Forward-Facing Car Seat - Harness should be AT or ABOVE the shoulders.

Be sure the chest clip sits on the child's chest and is even with their armpits - not on their belly.

And make sure the harness is snug enough that it passes the "pinch test" - meaning there is no extra slack in the webbing.

Remember, the harness keeps your child in their seat during a crash so make sure it is fitted properly!

May be an image of 3 people, child, people sitting and text that says 'IS THE HARNESS RIGHT? REAR-FACING: AT OR BELOW SHOULDERS FORWARD-FACING: AT OR ABOVE SHOULDERS C Broome County Traffic Safety Program NEWYORK Governor's Traffic OPPORT Safety Committee'
