October is #CrimePreventionMonth, and we want to educate our residents about the importance of paying attention to the little things.
We often get reports about stolen firearms from vehicles that were unlocked and even locked. Stolen firearms can possibly be used to commit a crime, which endangers all of our citizens.
Please be a responsible gun owner and secure your firearms properly. An unlocked vehicle is not a secure location.
Lock your car, remove your firearms and take your valuables when you leave your vehicle.
