78.6% of Chemung County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 84,456 citizens living in Chemung County in 2021, 78.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 66,367 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 33,025 were male, constituting 49.8%, and 33,342 were female, making up 50.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Chemung County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79%.
