Binghamton, NY – U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) today announced his office is accepting entries from high school students in New York’s 19th Congressional District for the annual Artistic Discovery Congressional Art Competition.

"This is a great way for Upstate New York students to showcase their artistic talent! I'm excited to see the artwork that will be turned in by high schoolers across New York's 19th Congressional District. I encourage all students to participate and showoff their work for a chance to have it displayed in the United States Capitol and represent Upstate New York!" expressed Rep. Molinaro.

The nationwide competition, sponsored by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, provides young artists with the opportunity to display their talent. Winning pieces from each Congressional District are exhibited in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

Artwork submissions must adhere to specific guidelines, including size restrictions and originality requirements. Accepted forms of art encompass a wide range, from paintings and drawings to mixed media and photography.

High school students interested in participating must submit their artwork along with a completed competition release form to Rep. Molinaro’s Leeds or Binghamton district offices by Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

For more details on the Artistic Discovery Congressional Art Competition, interested individuals can visit the competition's official website or reach out to Rep. Molinaro's Binghamton office at (607) 242-0200.
