WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy voted in favor of H.Res.1065, Denouncing the Biden Administration's immigration policies. Prior to the vote, Congressman Langworthy participated in rule debate on the House Floor to support this resolution.

In his prepared remarks, Congressman Langworthy criticized the Biden Administration's border policies, stating, "The Biden Administration’s utter failure to maintain operational control of the southern border has led to a crisis so extensive, that it has spilled across my home state of New York and our nation’s northern border as well."

Highlighting the impact on border security, Langworthy expressed concern over the increase in illegal immigration and drug seizures, particularly fentanyl, stating, "According to the latest data, since October 1st, 2023, the Northern border has seen a record number of illegal immigrants and drug seizures, most notably fentanyl by border patrol—and that’s just what has been caught."

The Congressman emphasized the need for immediate action to address the situation, questioning, "How many American lives do we need to lose before Biden takes ANY meaningful action to secure the border?"

Langworthy also criticized the response of the Biden Administration to the crisis, asserting, "House Republicans are telling Biden to END THIS MADNESS NOW."

In conclusion, Congressman Langworthy reiterated his support for the resolution denouncing the Administration's border policies, stating, "I strongly support the rule before us today, as well as the underlying legislation, that denounces this Administration for allowing the crisis on our borders to unfold."
