Binghamton, NY – U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) delivered $1,150,104 in federal funds to the Family Health Network of Central New York Inc. for healthcare services in Cortland County. The Family Health Network of CNY, a federally qualified health center, offers affordable and comprehensive care to individuals and families in the Central New York region.
The funding, made available through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), comes as part of Rep. Molinaro's efforts to enhance healthcare services in rural and medically underserved areas. He has been advocating for increased funding for HHS and recently introduced the Health Care Workforce Innovation Act of 2024, a bipartisan bill aimed at addressing the healthcare provider shortage at community health care centers like the Family Health Network of CNY.
In a statement, Rep. Molinaro expressed his commitment to supporting community health centers, stating, "Families in rural and medically underserved areas are facing difficult choices and daunting journeys to get the care they need. I’m proud to fight for community health centers and secure investments like these to ensure Cortland County residents have continued access to comprehensive care."
