Assemblyman Joseph Angelino (R,C-Norwich) is reminding residents that beginning on April 1, veterans and Gold Star families will have free access to New York state parks, campgrounds, day-use areas, historic sites and recreation sites. This is due to the expansion of the Lifetime Liberty Pass Program (A.6084-A), which Angelino proudly voted in favor of.

"We owe everything to our veterans, so allowing them free access to state parks is the least we can do. I am also pleased this includes our Gold Star families as a thank-you for the tremendous sacrifices they have made. As a veteran myself, I can tell you how much the state's unwavering support for veterans means. This is a wonderful program and I hope many of our veterans take time to visit the many wonderful state parks we have, including Bowman Lake State Park, Chenango Valley State Park, Oquaga State Park, and Chenango Valley State Park right here in the 121st District," said Angelino.
