The Chemung County Department of Social Services has been awarded the Cura Award for Kinship Champion by the New York State Kincare Coalition. This award recognizes organizations that make significant contributions to kinship care within New York State.
Since its inception in 2015, The Cura Award has been given annually to honor those who excel in supporting kinship care. This year, the Chemung County Department of Social Services was acknowledged for its outstanding achievements in this area.
"We are incredibly honored to receive this award and to be recognized for our efforts in supporting kinship families," said Mindy Banfield, Commissioner of Human Services. "This award reflects the dedication of our team and partners who work tirelessly to provide these families with the care, stability, and assistance they deserve."
