The Guthrie Clinic has announced that it will distribute $25,000 in grants to four local nonprofit organizations this month. This initiative is part of Guthrie's Community Benefit Grant Program.

These grants were awarded to projects aligned with the needs identified in Guthrie's Community Health Needs Assessment. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act mandates that nonprofit hospitals conduct a community needs assessment every three years. For the period from 2023 to 2025, the areas of focus are mental health and substance use disorders, obesity, and cancer screening and prevention.

Further details about Guthrie’s Community Benefit Grant Program, including application instructions for future grants, can be found on their website at www.guthrie.org/about-us/community-benefits.
