Washington, DC – U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) released a statement regarding his vote on the bipartisan border security & foreign aid package. He expressed, “Today, I voted in support of a bipartisan deal to strengthen border security and help our allies fight back against Iranian, Chinese, and Russian aggression."
Molinaro emphasized the importance of the issue by stating, "More than most, Upstate New Yorkers know what’s at stake." He further highlighted the impact on his community, stating, “Our community has become the epicenter of the opioid crisis. America has a duty to secure its border and protect its citizens from drug traffickers."
Acknowledging the diverse communities in Upstate New York, Molinaro mentioned, “Upstate New York also has vibrant Ukrainian, Jewish, and Israeli-American communities. I’ve listened and learned from them, and recognize the need for American leadership in the face of unprecedented global threats." He concluded by affirming, “This package meets these moments."
