Leeds, NY – U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) announced he will host a Think DIFFERENTLY Field Day on Tuesday, August 20 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in Hudson as part of his August Action Plan. Last year, Rep. Molinaro hosted two successful Think DIFFERENTLY field days for individuals with disabilities.
Participants must pre-register by emailing Events.Molinaro@mail.house.gov or calling (518) 625-2100. Reporters are asked to RSVP to Dan.Kranz@mail.house.gov.
At the event, individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities of all ages will participate in summer games and activities and engage with local service providers and community partners to learn about resources available to the disability community. All attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch and receive a Congressional Certificate for participating in the day’s events.
Rep. Molinaro stated, "I started these Field Days when I was a County Executive, and I'm so excited to have this as part of my August Action Plan every year! We will have field games, table games, activities, food, and music. This day serves as an event for individuals of every ability, any age, to come out and have a great time together. It's also a perfect time to connect with local providers who provide resources to the disability community. With how fun last year's field days were, I can't wait for this one!"
Next month, Rep. Molinaro will host a second Think DIFFERENTLY Field Day on the western half of New York’s 19th Congressional District. Details on that event will be announced in the coming weeks.

In 2015, Rep. Molinaro launched the ‘Think DIFFERENTLY’ initiative aimed at breaking down barriers for individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. In Congress, Rep. Molinaro has built on this effort by crafting bipartisan legislation calling for the passage of bills that remove barriers in key areas of society for individuals with disabilities.
