Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced his role as a founding member of the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Caucus. This new initiative aims to enhance access to affordable, high-quality foods and primary care, promoting healthier lifestyles for Americans.
"Healthy food and access to quality medical care are essential for the long-term health of our communities," stated Congressman Langworthy. He emphasized the importance of farmers and food producers in Western New York and the Southern Tier in providing nutritious food nationwide. The caucus intends to improve community access to healthy food options and affordable healthcare, allowing families to focus on living well and building strong futures. Langworthy expressed pride in joining efforts with the Trump Administration to prioritize health for all Americans.
The MAHA Caucus will tackle rising chronic diseases and obesity rates by advocating for preventive care and affordable, high-quality food. It will also support underserved and rural communities, ensuring that no family is left behind in achieving better health outcomes.
Leadership within the caucus includes Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13), Congressman Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) in the House, and Senator Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-KS) in the Senate.
