Lucinda Rider, Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, has earned the designation of Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA). This recognition follows Rider's certification as a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) and over five years of membership with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
Achieving this fellowship requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution, a recommendation letter, and volunteer work for HFMA or the healthcare industry. Rider joins over 1,800 HFMA members nationwide who have been recognized since the organization was established over 75 years ago.
Rider's contributions to the healthcare sector include serving on the National Advisory Council, being honored by Becker's Healthcare as one of the Women CFOs to Know and Rural Hospital CFOs to Know for the past three years, and participating as an expert panelist on healthcare finance topics for both HFMA and Becker's Healthcare. Additionally, she is involved with the Women’s Rural Healthcare Executive Network and the Upstate NY Women’s Alliance Network.
Rider's tenure at the hospital includes 24 years of maintaining a positive financial standing and implementing strategic plans to improve cash flow. Alongside her role as VP/CFO, she serves as the compliance chair at UHS Delaware Valley Hospital, the board chair of the UHS Employee Federal Credit Union, and is a board member for the Rural Health Network of South Central NY.
