Local women and families dealing with cancer will benefit from a $10,000 donation given to Guthrie by Women in Pink (WINK). This donation is intended to support patients within Guthrie's oncology services.
WINK, which began by aiding breast cancer causes, now extends its help to all women and families dealing with cancer. It provides financial support and resources to ease the stress during treatment. As part of the Josh Palmer Fund, WINK continues its mission of offering support and hope to women and families facing cancer.
"We are profoundly grateful to WINK and the Josh Palmer Fund for their incredible generosity and partnership in caring for our community," said Tricia Huston, Director of Resource Development at Guthrie. "This donation directly impacts the lives of women facing cancer, helping to ease financial burdens and provide essential support resources during a difficult time. WINK's commitment truly makes a difference for our patients.”
Jessica Mcinnis Norman, the Treasurer of Women in Pink, expressed gratitude for the backing they receive, saying, “WINK is extremely grateful for the community support we receive that allows us to make donations to organizations that can assist women with cancer to address their financial stressors.”
The donation will help ensure that women and families in the area have access to necessary care and support during their battles with cancer.
