Dry Brook Road in the Town of Chemung is set to close for a bridge replacement project starting on Monday, April 14, 2025. The closure will affect the Dry Brook Road Bridge over Dry Brook, situated between Strops Road and Dininny Road. The project is expected to conclude by September 2025. During this period, a detour will guide traffic via County Road 60 (CR60), Rotary Road (CR71), and West Dry Brook Road (CR50). To inform the public, a message board about the closure has been installed.
The work schedule may change based on weather conditions and the availability of contracted equipment. Christopher J. Moss, Chemung County Executive, advises travelers to exercise caution and plan for additional travel time. "As always, please drive carefully, and allow extra time to reach your destination." Moss expresses gratitude for the public's understanding, stating, "Thank you for your patience and cooperation."
