Broome County issued the following announcement on Dec 28.

On Monday, Broome County Executive Jason Garnar announced he has signed an emergency order capping third-party food delivery service fees at 15%.

“The food service industry has been devastatingly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said County Executive Garnar. “Local restaurants have suffered severe economic downturn, and this is something we can do to help protect our local businesses from price gouging by third-party food delivery service companies.”
