U.S. Rep. Marc Molinaro (NY-19) has announced a request for $60 million in federal funding aimed at community development projects within New York’s 19th Congressional District. Last year, Rep. Molinaro secured $27.6 million for similar initiatives.

The House Appropriations Committee annually collects community development project requests from Members of Congress to be considered in the upcoming appropriations bill. These requests allocate funding to local government or non-profit entities for specific projects that qualify for federal support and benefit the local community.

This year, Rep. Molinaro is seeking approval from the House Appropriations Committee for $60 million to fund projects focused on improving roadways and water infrastructure, upgrading EMS facilities, and ensuring public buildings and walkways are ADA compliant.

“I came to Congress to deliver for Upstate New York. These funds will advance our local communities and address dire needs," said Rep. Molinaro. "I'm fighting for this crucial funding to better our infrastructure, improve access to clean drinking water, and revamp our towns and villages."

The following are some of the projects included in Rep. Molinaro's request:

- **City of Binghamton**: $9 million for a new stormwater pump station.

- **Greenville Volunteer Fire District**: $5 million for a new firehouse.

- **Town of Rockland**: $5 million for land acquisition and a new water tower.

- **Village of Bloomingburg**: $5 million for wastewater treatment plant upgrades.

- **Village of Greene**: $5 million for water system improvements.

- **Otsego County**: $5 million for Crumhorn Mountain conservation efforts.

- **Village of Marathon**: $4.468 million for wastewater treatment plant improvements.

- **Village of New Berlin**: $4 million for drinking water infrastructure upgrades.

- **West Athens Lime Street Fire District**: $4 million for firehouse construction.

- **Village of Endicott**: $4 million for streetscape improvement projects.

- **Rock Hill Fire Station**: $3.5 million to expand facilities and add ADA amenities.

- **Village of Valatie**: $2.2 million for water filtration investments.

- **Village of Johnson City**: Nearly $2 million for North Street reconstruction including ADA-compliant sidewalks.

- **Town of Franklin**: Just under $1 million for water district repairs and upgrades.

- **Hancock Volunteer Fire Department**: Approximately $900,000 for a new heavy rescue truck.

Rep. Molinaro's full list of requests includes detailed descriptions available publicly.
