Due to mass power outages throughout Chemung County, County Executive Moss has activated the emergency management center. The county will be posting updates on chemungcountyny.gov.
Residents are advised to stay away from downed trees entangled in power lines and to call 911 only in case of emergencies, as lines are extremely busy at this time. The county is coordinating with multiple agencies to help restore power.
