Chemung County distributes water and ice amid power outages

At 12:00 p.m. today, the Chemung County Office of Emergency Management will hold a water and ice distribution for individuals affected by the ongoing power outages. The distribution locations are as follows:

Town of Southport:

- Bradley Farms

- 1543 Maple Ave.

- Elmira, NY 14904

Town of Erin:

- Erin Volunteer Fire Department

- 1464 Swartwood Hill Rd.

- Erin, NY 14838

The event aims to assist those still without power. Two 7 lb. bags of ice and bottled water will be distributed. According to Chemung County Executive Christopher J. Moss, "Please be advised that we have been told by NYSEG that dry ice will be available sometime this afternoon." However, the method of distribution for the dry ice has not been disclosed to county officials.
