Today, Congressman Nick Langworthy announced a federal loan of $4.9 million for the Town of Prattsburgh aimed at improving its water infrastructure. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program. It will be used to replace outdated water mains to ensure a safe and reliable water supply for the community.

Congressman Langworthy stated, “Every family and business in Prattsburgh should be able to count on safe, clean water whenever they turn on the tap.” He emphasized that this investment would modernize the town's water system, ending disruptions and reliability issues affecting the community. According to him, these upgrades will not only enhance daily life for residents but also create jobs that will boost the local economy and support future growth.

The project involves replacing aging water distribution lines throughout Prattsburgh to address service disruptions and improve overall water quality. By updating these systems, the town aims to reduce the risk of water main breaks significantly, ensuring reliable service for years ahead. This initiative is part of efforts to build a stronger and healthier future for Prattsburgh.
