U.S. Representative Marc Molinaro, representing New York's 19th district, will host a pinning ceremony to honor Vietnam War veterans in Sullivan County. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sullivan County Government Center in Monticello, New York.
This ceremony marks the third such event hosted by Rep. Molinaro, following previous ceremonies in Greene and Broome counties in August. The pinning ceremony aims to recognize and honor the service of Vietnam War veterans.
Rep. Molinaro expressed his commitment to honoring these veterans by stating, "After two successful pinning ceremonies, I'm honored to be hosting another ceremony to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of our Vietnam War veterans." He acknowledged that many soldiers faced animosity upon returning home and emphasized his intention to thank them for their service.
The event is open not only to Vietnam War veterans but also to their families and anyone who wishes to show respect for their contributions. Veterans wishing to participate must RSVP through Rep. Molinaro’s Leeds Office either online or by calling (518) 625-2100.
