Guthrie has announced its operating hours for the upcoming Christmas holiday period in December 2024. On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24th, the Guthrie Medical Group Walk-in Clinics will be open from 7 a.m. to noon. Meanwhile, Guthrie Lourdes Medical Group Walk-in Clinics at Vestal and Chenango Bridge locations will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., while Owego and Johnson City Pavilion locations will be open from 8 a.m. to noon.
Guthrie Pharmacies, including all Guthrie Lourdes retail pharmacies located in Binghamton, Chenango Bridge, Johnson City, Lourdes Hospital, Vestal, and Sayre Clinic Pharmacy will close early at 2 p.m. The Corning Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy will not be open on this day.
For laboratory services on Christmas Eve: Sayre and Corning Hospital labs will maintain regular hours—Sayre from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Corning Hospital from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.—while Guthrie Bath lab will remain closed. The Guthrie Cortland Medical Center lab will operate from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the Lourdes Hospital Lab available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., JC Pavilion Lab open until noon, Owego Lab until 1:30 p.m., and both Chenango Bridge and Vestal Labs until 3:30 p.m.
On Christmas Day itself (Wednesday, December 25th), all primary care and walk-in clinics under the Guthrie umbrella will be closed along with all pharmacy locations. Most laboratory services across Guthrie facilities are also expected to be shut down except for the Corning Hospital Lab which will run as usual between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Regular business operations for all Guthrie locations are set to resume on Thursday, December 26th.
Throughout this holiday period including both Christmas Eve and Day, hospitals affiliated with Guthrie located in Sayre, Towanda, Corning, Troy, Cortland as well as Lourdes in Binghamton are confirmed to be fully operational with their emergency departments providing continuous service around the clock.
