Guthrie Clinic has entered into a joint venture with DASCO Home Medical Equipment to enhance services for patients requiring durable medical equipment. This collaboration will see DASCO take over management and daily operations of Guthrie Med Supply Depot locations starting March 1.

Paul VerValin, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Guthrie Clinic, emphasized the importance of this partnership by stating, “Guthrie’s core business, our mission, is quality patient care, and durable medical equipment is critical to meeting all of our patients’ needs.” He further noted that Guthrie Med Supply Depot's unique business requirements could be best managed by DASCO due to their expertise and experience.

DASCO is recognized as a leader in the field of durable medical equipment with an established presence across the South and Midwest. They currently manage med supply businesses for systems such as The Ohio State University Medical Center and Tampa General Hospital.

Jason Seeley, CEO of DASCO Home Medical Equipment, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We are honored to be partnered with The Guthrie Clinic, a health system known for its exceptional care and innovation.” He reassured that DASCO aims to maintain the high level of service provided by Guthrie’s Med Supply Depot while expanding service options.

The venture will continue to focus on renting, selling, and servicing oxygen and respiratory therapy products, home medical equipment, mobility aids, and physical therapy aids. Patients have been assured that they need not take any action during this transition.
