Two hospitals under The Guthrie Clinic have received recognition from the Women's Choice Awards, a respected credential that identifies top hospitals across the nation based on clinical performance, patient satisfaction, and accreditations. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital has been acknowledged as one of America's Best Hospitals for Comprehensive Breast Care, placing it in the top 7% of 4,675 U.S. hospitals offering such services. Similarly, Guthrie Troy Community Hospital has been recognized for its Emergency Care services, ranking in the top 11% of similar facilities nationwide.

The Women's Choice Award highlights hospitals that provide exceptional care and are committed to their patients' health and well-being. It is notable for considering women's preferences when choosing healthcare providers. Joseph Sawyer, President of Pennsylvania Regional Hospitals at The Guthrie Clinic, expressed his gratitude: "Receiving Women's Choice Awards for our comprehensive breast care and emergency care services is a profound honor for our hospitals."

Sawyer emphasized that this recognition underscores the hospital's dedication to meeting the unique healthcare needs of women in their community. "We are immensely proud of our dedicated team," he added.

The selection process for America's Best Hospitals awards involves a combination of results from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey and primary research into women's healthcare preferences.
