The Chemung County has announced an online auction for the sale of surplus equipment. The bidding period begins on February 5, 2025, at 6:00 PM and concludes on February 19, 2025, around 6:00 PM. Among the items available are a 2009 Morbark 4600XL grinder, 5,000 cubic yards of single-ground mulch, and various miscellaneous items.

For those interested in participating, current registered bidders can bid without any additional cost. New bidders will need to pay a one-time fee of $10 to register their credit card on AuctionsInternational.com. It is important to note that only bids placed through this website will be accepted.

Successful bidders are required to pay a buyer premium over the high bid. This premium is ten percent for cash transactions and fourteen percent for credit transactions, in addition to New York State sales tax. All items are sold "as-is" and "where-is," with no warranties expressed or implied regarding fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability.

A comprehensive list of items, including photos and descriptions along with contact information and payment/pick-up instructions, can be found on the Auctions International website. Potential bidders are encouraged to inspect the items before placing any bids. Chemung County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
